Breaking Surface 2020 movie review

Breaking Surface is an aquatic thriller starring three women who exquisitely challenge the concept of "femininity". Although the heart of the action begins with the immersion of the two half-sisters Ida and Tuva in the icy waters of the north.

Like any self-respecting genre film, Breaking Surface manages to keep the viewer on alert from start to finish by devising ingenious situations that constantly delay the (positive or negative) resolution of the drama. No other character, except Tuva's dog who gives us an extraordinary performance, distracts us from the harrowing drama that Ida is experiencing.
